In a bid to enhance the mobility and effectiveness of forest security personnel, StroWallet, a Tede-based company, has donated a motorcycle to the Nigeria Forest Security in ATISBO LGA of Oyo state. The event, which took place today, is part of the company’s efforts to support the government’s initiatives in securing the country’s forests and protecting its natural resources.
The Managing Director of the company, Oguntoye Isaac, said the motorcycle is expected to ease the movement of forest security personnel, enabling them to effectively patrol and monitor the forests, and respond promptly to security threats. This development comes on the heels of the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen forest security, including the recent launch of the Forest Guards Initiative .
The initiative aims to tackle persistent threats from bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal groups operating within Nigeria’s forests. With the donated motorcycle, forest security personnel will be better equipped to address these security challenges and protect the country’s biodiversity.
