The HON ALLIU SOLIDARITY GROUP, led by Hon. Muyiwa Alao, has highlighted the experience and record of public service of Alhaji Alliu Tajudeen Adetunji as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
In a statement, the group described Adetunji as an experienced grassroots politician, citing his previous service as a local government chairman and his involvement in public affairs.
The group said Adetunji’s aspiration to represent ATISBO/Saki East State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly was driven by a desire to provide what it described as “broader and stronger representation” for the people.
It, however, urged constituents to carefully assess all aspirants based on their records, programmes, competence, experience and understanding of the needs of the constituency before making their choice.
The group also called for increased grassroots engagement, stressing that residents across wards and communities should be adequately informed about the candidates and the issues surrounding the election.
According to the group, the 2027 election provides an opportunity for constituents to demand accountable, accessible and effective representation.
It urged political actors and supporters to maintain peace, avoid inflammatory rhetoric and focus their campaigns on issues capable of improving the welfare and development of the people.
