The Okere of Sakiland, Oba (Dr.) Surv. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to address the challenges of inadequate potable water and epileptic electricity supply in Saki, Oyo State.
The traditional ruler made the appeal when he received a delegation of the PBT2027 Re-Election Support Group, led by a Lagos-based businessman and transportation expert, Chief Fola Tinubu, at his palace on Tuesday.
The delegation was in Saki as part of its grassroots mobilisation campaign to canvass support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
During the visit, Oba Oyedepo highlighted some of the town’s pressing developmental needs, urging the delegation to convey the concerns of the people to the President for appropriate intervention.
He noted that the persistent challenges of inadequate water supply and unreliable electricity had continued to affect economic activities and community development.
The monarch also drew attention to the absence of essential Federal Government development projects in the area, calling for deliberate efforts to bring more federal interventions to Saki and its surrounding communities.
He commended Chief Fola Tinubu for bringing the mobilisation campaign to the town and prayed for the success of the delegation’s mission and the safe return of its members.
