The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Saki East/ATISBO State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly election, Alhaji Alliu Tajudeen Adetunji (JP), has urged Nigerians to uphold unity, peace and responsible leadership as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message to commemorate the anniversary and welcome the new month,the APC Hopeful extended his greetings to the people of Saki East/ATISBO State Constituency and his well-wishers across the globe.
He called for sustained commitment to inclusive development and responsible leadership, stressing the need for collective efforts towards building a greater Nigeria.
According to him, the country’s progress depends largely on the ability of its citizens and leaders to promote unity, peace and development irrespective of differences.
He said, “As we welcome a new month and celebrate our nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary, may we continue to uphold unity, responsible leadership, peace and inclusive development for a greater Nigeria.”
A former LG boss, who described the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey since independence, expressed optimism that Nigerians could collectively move the country forward.
He urged residents of Saki East/ATISBO and Nigerians at large to remain committed to the ideals of peace, unity and national development.
“Together, we move forward,” he added.
