Breaking: Abisodun Returns as APC Candidate Despite Opposition

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abisodun, popularly known as “Were,” has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Saki West/Saki East/ATISBO Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abisodun secured the party’s ticket following the conclusion of the APC primary election held across the 32 wards that make up the federal constituency on Saturday.

Sources within the party disclosed that the exercise was conducted peacefully, with party delegates and officials participating in the process without any reported security breach.

However, the outcome of the primary election was not without controversy, as four aspirants reportedly rejected the process that produced the incumbent lawmaker as the party’s flag bearer.

The aggrieved aspirants alleged irregularities in the conduct of the exercise, describing the process as fraudulent and claiming that they were deliberately sidelined during the primary.
According to sources close to the dissatisfied contenders, efforts are already underway to formally challenge the outcome of the election within the party structure.

Despite the protests, supporters of Abisodun celebrated his emergence, describing it as a reflection of his political influence and grassroots support across the constituency.

Party officials are yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations raised by the aggrieved aspirants as of the time of filing this report.
