The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North Constituency II, Hon. Adebowale Steve Adeyoju, popularly known as STEVO, has extended warm felicitations to Nigerians, residents of Oyo State, his constituents, and members of the APC as the nation commemorates Democracy Day.
In a statement issued on Thursday to mark the annual celebration, Adeyoju praised Nigerians for their resilience, patriotism, and unwavering faith in the country’s democratic journey despite prevailing challenges.
“To every Nigerian, thank you for your resilience, faith, and commitment to our great nation,” he said. “Despite our challenges, our unity and hope remain our greatest strength. Together, we will build the Nigeria of our dreams.”
The APC chieftain also commended the people of Oyo State for their contributions to the state’s growth and development, describing them as hardworking and peace-loving citizens who continue to uphold the state’s reputation as the Pacesetter State.
“You are the pride of the Pacesetter State. Your hard work, enterprise, and culture of peace continue to set us apart. I salute your enduring spirit and commitment to progress,” he stated.
Addressing residents of Ibadan North Constituency II, Adeyoju expressed appreciation for their continued support and confidence in his leadership aspirations. He pledged to remain dedicated to delivering impactful representation and people-oriented governance.
“You are my strength and inspiration. Your support, prayers, and encouragement keep me going,” he said. “As we look toward 2027, I restate my commitment to quality representation, youth and women empowerment, improved infrastructure, and responsive leadership that listens to you.”
The House of Assembly hopeful also acknowledged the efforts of APC members across Oyo State, describing them as the backbone of the party’s success.
“Thank you for holding the banner high. Your sacrifices at the ward, local government, and state levels are the backbone of our party,” Adeyoju noted. “Let us remain united, peaceful, and focused as we work to deliver greater victories for our party and prosperity for our people.”
Reflecting on the significance of Democracy Day, he urged citizens to remain hopeful and committed to national development while promoting peace and unity in their communities.

Democracy Day is celebrated annually in Nigeria on June 12 to honour the nation’s democratic evolution and the sacrifices of individuals who contributed to the sustenance of democratic governance.
Adeyoju concluded his message with prayers for the continued progress of Nigeria, Oyo State, Ibadan North Constituency II, and the All Progressives Congress.
