Frontline aspirant for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Otunba Masolanu Adeolu, has successfully scaled the party’s screening exercise ahead of the forthcoming primaries.
Masolanu appeared before the party’s National Screening Committee in Abuja on Sunday, where he was cleared to contest for the party’s ticket for the House of Representatives seat.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, the aspirant described the clearance as a major milestone in his political journey and expressed gratitude to God and his supporters across the constituency.
“This is one of the crucial steps in our aspiration to serve our people in Ido and Ibarapa East,” he said.
He reassured his supporters that there was no cause for concern over the outcome of the screening, noting that his personal and professional records remained credible and verifiable.
“I thank God and appreciate the good people of Ido and Ibarapa East for their prayers and support. We have come out unscathed,” he stated.
Masolanu also disclosed that his campaign structure would be strengthened in the coming days with the unveiling of ward coordinators across the constituency.
“Now that we have a clean bill to proceed to the next stage, we will be unveiling our ward coordinators within the next 48 hours,” he added.
The APC chieftain urged his supporters to remain steadfast and committed to the project, expressing confidence in eventual victory at the polls.
“With God on our side, we have nothing to fear and success is sure,” he said.
The screening exercise is part of the APC’s preparations for its forthcoming primaries ahead of the next electoral cycle, with aspirants across the country appearing before various screening panels constituted by the party leadership.
