The National Executive Council of Saki Parapo has described the death of former Secretary to Oyo State Government, SSG, Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho as a monument loss to every son and daughter of the ancient town of Saki, saying that it would take the town years to recover from it.
The executive Council stated that news of Koleosho’s demise was received with a heavy heart and the town thrown into a state of mourning.

Speaking to pressmen at the council’s secretariat located at Saki City hall, its National President, Dr Festus Adedayo Adejumobi, while condoling with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Okere of Sakiland, Royal Magesty, Oba Khalid Olabisi, entire people of Oyo State, Oke-Ogun and all Saki indigenes at home and abroad, extolled the giant virtues of late Koleosho, to whom he credited many of the developmental projects in the town.
Flanked by other council members, Adejumobi, who said that the vacuum created by Koleosho’s departure will be very hard to fill, stated said that as heavy as their hearts were, they took solace in the fact that Koleosho lived a commendable life.
While applauding many contributions of the deceased, Adejumobi revealed that, Koleosho, while he held sway as a commissioner during the regime of Governor Bola Ige and later SSG, under Lam Adesina’s administrations, facilitated virtually all government institutions that could be seen in the town.
“…when our baba was appointed as a commissioner and SSG under Governors Bola Ige and Lam Adesina, he was instrumental to the addition of many secondary schools to the already existing Baptist High School, AUD High School, Parapo High School in our town, namely Elam High School, Otun High School, Ayekale Community High School, Barracks Community High School and Government Technical College. He was also responsible for the establishment of the Satellite Campus of the then Polytechnic, Ibadan, which has now become a full-fledged Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, defunct, Oyo North Agricultural Development Programme, ONADEP, that has been rebuilt and remodeled by the incumbent Governor Seyi Makinde to Oyo State Agricultural Development Agency, OYSADA, among others,” he said.
Adejumobi said that late Babalaje of Sakiland’s contribution to the development of Saki, Oke-Ogun and indeed Oyo State can not be quantified.
He stated that while Saki will be eternally grateful for all the deceased had done for the ancient town, he enjoined politicians in the country to emulate his virtues, stating that the best honour to give Koleosho is to live good life which defines his remarkable legacies left behind.
