Preparations are underway for the Oluwakemi Mega Empowerment Programme convened by Alh. Waheed Oluwakemi, an initiative aimed at empowering residents and supporting community development in Saki, Oyo State.
The programme, scheduled for August 19, 2026, will take place at L.A. Primary School, Isale Taba, Saki, from 3pm.
The initiative, themed “Empowering Lives, Lighting Futures,” will focus on three key areas including street solar lighting, mobile phones and cash support.
According to the programme details, the solar lighting component is designed to promote sustainable energy and improve street illumination, while the phone scheme will provide beneficiaries with small and durable mobile devices and related support.
The cash empowerment component is expected to provide financial assistance aimed at supporting businesses and improving the economic capacity of beneficiaries.
The organisers described the initiative as part of efforts to promote sustainable energy, smart connectivity, financial empowerment and better living conditions within the community.
The programme is anchored on the theme: “Powering Dreams, Connecting People, Supporting Success.”
Residents and members of the community are expected to participate in the programme as preparations continue for the empowerment event.
