The Onigbope of Igbope, Oyo State, Oba Dr Moses Olawale Oyetola, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland and Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his 82nd birthday.
Oyetola, in a congratulatory message signed and made available to this newspaper on Friday, described the milestone as a celebration of Ladoja’s life of public service, leadership and contributions to society.
The traditional ruler said, “The 82nd birthday marks a remarkable life of dedicated public service, exemplary leadership and meaningful contributions to society.”
He noted that Ladoja’s attainment of 82 was a significant milestone, adding that it reflected the monarch’s strength, experience and commitment to the welfare of his people.
“Reaching the age of 82 is a significant milestone that reflects the Olubadan’s strength, vast experience and unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of his people,” he said.
He also commended the Olubadan’s wealth of experience, saying it would continue to benefit the traditional institution and the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State.
“The wealth of knowledge and experience acquired by Oba Ladoja over the years will remain a valuable asset to the traditional institution and the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State,” the statement added.
The Onigbope further emphasised the importance of traditional institutions in fostering peaceful coexistence, unity, cultural preservation and community development.
He said, “Traditional rulers remain vital to the promotion of peace, unity, cultural values and sustainable development within their communities.”
The monarch urged the people of Oyo State to continue to support and respect the traditional institution, while celebrating Ladoja’s leadership journey and contributions to society.
He said the birthday offered an opportunity to reflect on the Olubadan’s years of leadership and the legacy he was building on the throne.
“The birthday provides an opportunity to celebrate Oba Ladoja’s leadership journey and acknowledge the enduring legacy he is building on the throne,” he said.
The Onigbope wished the Olubadan continued good health, wisdom and many more years of service to Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria.
