The Osun State Government has declared that the recent accusations against the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinkeye, will not deter the prosecution of former top officials of the Oyetola administration indicted for contract fraud.
According to a statement by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the state APC is attempting to divert attention from the imminent prosecution of its chieftains by maligning top administration officials.

The contract review committee and white paper implementation committee, headed by Hon Kolapo Alimi, have evidentially indicted several former top officials for contract infractions, including fraud in road projects and the $20 million health centers rehabilitation project.
The implementation committee has secured incontrovertible evidence and will soon enforce accountability on behalf of the Osun people. The administration remains committed to upholding due process, best practices, and procurement laws, despite the opposition’s attempts to spread falsehood and fake news.
The statement emphasized that Hon Akinleye has not violated any provisions of the Code of Conduct, EFCC, ICPC, or any other extant laws, and his office has not been used to favor himself in any way. The public is urged to discountenance the failed tactics of the opposition and trust the administration’s commitment to justice and accountability.
