Oyo APC Governorship Candidate, Sen. Alli, Engages Ibarapa Zone, Urges Members To Disregard Rumours

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Sen. Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has held a strategic engagement with party leaders, stakeholders and members from Ibarapa North, East and Central zones as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen unity and consolidate the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting was also focused on promoting cohesion within the party, sustaining its growth across the state, and building a formidable structure capable of delivering victory in 2027.

According to a statement by Elder David Oluokun, the BSA Voice Of Reason coordinator, participants stressed the importance of collective responsibility, inclusiveness, loyalty to the party, and continuous grassroots mobilization.

During the engagement, Senator Alli addressed rumours circulating in some quarters alleging that names for future commissioners, Special Advisers, and Local Government Chairmen had already been selected and shared among certain party leaders.

Senator Alli firmly debunked the claims, describing them as false, misleading and the handiwork of individuals bent on creating unnecessary division within the party.

The APC governorship candidate urged members to disregard such rumours and remain focused on the bigger task of strengthening the party and preparing for electoral success.

He emphasized that no such decisions have been made and cautioned against the spread of unverified information capable of causing disunity among party faithful.

In their separate remarks, leaders and stakeholders from the Ibarapa zone reaffirmed their unwavering support for Senator Alli and pledged to work diligently towards ensuring his emergence as the next Governor of Oyo State in 2027.

In attendance were Baba Jolaosho, Oyo State APC Chairman, Moses Adeyemo Alake, members of the State Executive Committee, Ibarapa zone leaders, party stakeholders and other prominent members of the APC family.

The engagement further underscored the determination of the APC in Oyo State to strengthen internal unity, deepen grassroots participation, and position the party for a successful outing in the forthcoming elections.
