The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, on Wednesday officially received his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form, marking a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election.
The presentation of the nomination form followed the completion of the party’s nomination process, confirming Senator Alli as the APC’s standard-bearer for the forthcoming governorship poll.
At the event, the APC governorship candidate also unveiled Honourable Micheal Adesoji Adedeji as his running mate, describing the choice as one aimed at strengthening the party’s campaign and offering credible leadership to the people of Oyo State.
Party leaders, stakeholders and supporters who attended the ceremony expressed confidence in the Alli-Adedeji ticket, saying it reflects the APC’s commitment to unity, experience and inclusive governance.
In his remarks, Senator Alli appreciated the leadership of the party and supporters across the state for their confidence in his candidacy. He pledged to run an issue-based campaign focused on good governance, economic growth, infrastructure development, education, healthcare and improved welfare for residents.
The APC candidate urged members of the party to remain united and committed as the campaign gathers momentum, stressing that victory at the polls would require collective effort and grassroots mobilisation across the state.
