Oyo APC Leaders Rally Support for Tinubu Torchbearers Initiative in Ibadan

Prominent leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State on Wednesday gathered in Ibadan for the inauguration of the Oyo State Executive Council and members of the Tinubu Torchbearers (TTB), a grassroots political initiative inspired by the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The event, held at Mahoghny Hotel Banquet Hall, Jericho, Ibadan, attracted party faithful, women leaders, youth representatives, and key political figures from across the state.

Among the dignitaries in attendance was the Convener of Oyo APC Peace Advocates, Prince Niran Adeyoju (SDM), who commended the initiative as a strategic platform for promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The Tinubu Torchbearers in Oyo State is being coordinated by the APC State Woman Leader, Dr. Kemi Opatunde, who described the movement as a vehicle for grassroots mobilization, women empowerment, and community development.

Speaking at the inauguration, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening party structures at the grassroots level while encouraging greater participation of women and youths in governance and political activities.

The impressive turnout, according to stakeholders, reflected the growing acceptance of the initiative and reaffirmed the commitment of APC members to advancing the administration’s development agenda across the country.

Other notable dignitaries present at the event included the Oyo State APC Chairman, Otunba Moses Adeyemo Alake; Ambassador Florence Ajimobi, who serves as the group’s matron; Rt. Colonel Gbenga Adegbola and his wife; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe; Hon. Adepeju Esan; former APC State Woman Leader, Alhaja Tinu Adigun; representatives of Senator Sharafadeen Alli and Senator Yunus Akintunde; Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete; the Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Sadare; State Youth Leader, Olalekan Glory; Hon. Yinka Faniyi; Elder David Oluokun, among other party stakeholders.
