The member representing Saki West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the constituency, Hon. Shittu Aremu Ibrahim, has celebrated the former Oyo State Head of Service and APC candidate for Oyo North Senatorial District, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan, MFR, on her birthday.
Shittu, in his goodwill statement, described Ogunesan as a seasoned public administrator whose career was distinguished by professionalism, diligence and an uncommon sense of responsibility.
He said her attainment of the position of Head of Service was a fitting recognition of decades of dedicated service to the state, adding that she had left an enduring mark on Oyo’s public administration.
The lawmaker noted that Ogunesan’s transition from the civil service into partisan politics had further provided an avenue for her experience in governance to be deployed in the service of the people.
He described her as a dependable leader with a firm grasp of public administration and grassroots realities, saying such qualities would be valuable to the people of Oyo North if she secured election to the Senate.
According to him, leadership should be measured not by titles but by the impact made on the lives of the people, stressing that Ogunesan’s career had provided ample evidence of her capacity to make meaningful contributions wherever she served.
Shittu said her birthday was therefore an occasion to celebrate not only her personal milestone but also her years of sacrifice and contributions to the growth of Oyo State.
He expressed optimism that the former Head of Service would continue to distinguish herself in public life and contribute to the strengthening of the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Today provides another opportunity to celebrate a woman who has devoted a significant part of her life to the service of Oyo State.
“Her journey is a story of perseverance, competence and responsibility. I sincerely congratulate Chief (Mrs) Hannah Ogunesan and pray that God will bless her with many more years, sound health, wisdom and greater accomplishments in the service of humanity,” Shittu said.
