Oyo North Senate 2027: Ogunesan’s Growing Support Points to a Decisive Victory|Niyi Adeagbo

The political landscape of Oyo North Senatorial District is taking a decisive turn as stakeholders in the zone unite behind the senatorial bid of Chief (Mrs.) Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan.

With the All Progressives Congress (APC) fully mobilised for the coming general elections, Ogunesan’s candidature has emerged as a powerful force across the thirteen local government areas of the district. Her growing support reflects confidence in her proven competence, deep grassroots connections, and distinguished record of public service.

A former Oyo State Head of Service and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ogunesan brings exceptional administrative experience and an intimate understanding of government processes to the race. Her record of service provides a solid foundation for effective and result-oriented legislative representation.

Her strong local roots further strengthen her position. As a daughter of Ago-Amodu in Saki East, with marital ties to Saki West, Ogunesan enjoys a strategic connection to the Oke-Ogun corridor. This broad regional affinity positions her to unite interests across both the Oke-Ogun and Ogbomoso axis of the senatorial district.

APC chieftain Niyi Adeagbo has consistently expressed confidence in Ogunesan’s capacity to win and deliver effective representation. According to party stakeholders, her emergence raises the bar for legislative politics by placing competence, accountability, experience, and development at the centre of the contest.

Her experience in managing people and resources also gives her the capacity to aggressively pursue federal infrastructure, economic opportunities, and development projects for communities across Oyo North.

Importantly, the APC structure in the district has consolidated following the primary elections. Formerly competing interests have increasingly come together, with party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, community organisers, and stakeholders working toward a common objective: securing victory for Ogunesan and the APC.

Leaders at the national, state, and grassroots levels have commended party members for maintaining discipline, unity, and sportsmanship, further strengthening the campaign ahead of the general elections.

Ogunesan’s agenda also places strong emphasis on inclusive development, women’s empowerment, youth engagement, employment creation, and practical solutions to the challenges confronting rural and agrarian communities across the district.

As mobilisation gathers momentum, her campaign continues to build an increasingly broad coalition involving professionals, traditional institutions, trade associations, community leaders, women and youth groups, and other influential stakeholders.

For Adeagbo and other party leaders, the message is clear: Oyo North is ready for a new standard of representation, and Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan is prepared to provide it.

With her experience, grassroots acceptance, regional reach, and the increasingly unified APC political structure behind her, Ogunesan enters the contest with strong momentum and a clear pathway to victory. The stage is set, the structures are in place, and stakeholders across Oyo North are rallying for a decisive electoral success.
