Primary Health Care Delivery: Awodi-Oke Foundation taking the lead

A Non-government Organization, Awodi-Oke foundation, has again provided another leg of free healthcare services to residents of Ago-Are Community, ATISBO LG area of Oyo State .

The second phase of the outreach which was held at Awodi-Oke compound,Ago-Are,had the attention of aged and young residents who received free medical care

Chairman of the foundation, Engr. Tosin Kolade Awodi-Oke, said the initiative was to put an end to suffering from different kinds of ailment or diseases.

He said, the gesture was based on what the foundation stood for, explaining how the foundation has been commited to servicing to humanity .

“We are happy in putting smiles on people’s faces and making their health problems become a thing of the past”

“Our outreach is about touching lives and it is really encouraging to see people coming out,”

“We are happy that alot of people benefited from this initiative in the first phase and the thing that has been igniting us to do more is by taking care of the health of the people particularly, the less privileged.

“When we look around, we see a lot of people that need medical help and the only way we can help the society is by responding to their appeal for assistance.

“Since the government cannot do it alone, we still see the need to come home and give back to the people irrespective of tribe or colour because this is the community that raised us to be where we are today “,he said.

“So,we are committed to doing our own part to alleviate the sufferings of the people and we are happy for the cooperation of the Ago-Are people.”

On Sunday, 133 people benefited from the exercise which focused on diagnosis and treatment of malaria ,high blood pressure ,free blood pressure test,urinary tract infections, ulcers and typhoid.
