The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Saki-West Local Government successfully conducted its ward and local government congresses today in a well-coordinated and peaceful exercise.
The ward congresses were held across all collation centres in the eleven wards, from Ward 1 to Ward 11, while the local government congress took place at African Baptist Primary School, Sango, Saki.
At the end of the process, Mr. Titilope Alabi was unanimously returned as the party chairman, a decision widely attributed to his commitment, dedication, and consistent leadership within the party. Other executive members were also duly elected to various positions in line with the party’s guidelines.
The congress was conducted under the supervision of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as security agencies, ensuring transparency, orderliness, and credibility throughout the exercise.
Speaking after the congress, the overall leader of the party in Saki-West and Oke-Ogun, Alhaji Raheem Durojaye, commended the smooth conduct of the process and praised the efforts of the coordinators who played key roles in its success. He specifically acknowledged Mr. Titilope Alabi (Party Chairman), Comrade Adejumobi Idowu (Party Secretary), Alhaji Olayiwola Fatai (State Organising Secretary), and Hon. Adesokan Saheed Adebayo (SP), the party’s candidate in the last House of Assembly election.
