A socio-political group known as BSA Voice of Reason has reiterated that Barr Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli remains in the Oyo governorship race contrary to fake news circulating online that the frontline gubernatorial aspirant has been disqualified.
The group described the publication as fake news and calculated attempts to discredit the acceptance of Barr Alli’s guber ambition by sincere party leaders, stakeholders and other members of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“Our attention has been drawn to a fake information circulating on some WhatsApp platform.
“The fake information which is credited to no one claims that Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has been disqualified from participating in the gubernatorial primary of the APC slated for Thursday, 21st of May, 2026.
“According to the purveyors of the fake information, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli was disqualified because he violated civil service rules.
“We are not surprised that desperation has set in for the sponsors of the fake information.
“Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has been adopted and endorsed by the leaders and critical stakeholders within Oyo APC and by the Grace of God Almighty, he is the next Governor of Oyo state.
“We urge all disgruntled elements to accept reality, embrace the decision of the leadership of the party and let us join together to face the real opponents out there.
“Senator Alli remains committed to the resolve to dislodge the PDP Government from the Agodi Government House in 2027.
“He will not be distracted by the antics of desperate politicians and Data boys.
“The task before us is enormous and Senator Sharafadeen Alli is fully committed to see that the APC is victorious in all the political contests of 2027.”
