We Slept Outside With Mosquitoes – Adamawa Pilgrims Stranded In Saudi Arabia

Several pilgrims from Adamawa State have cried out over alleged poor treatment and difficult conditions in Saudi Arabia despite reportedly paying more than N8.3 million each for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

In a video circulating online, some of the affected pilgrims claimed they were left stranded without proper accommodation, forcing them to sleep outdoors while battling harsh weather conditions and mosquito infestation. The emotional complaints have sparked outrage among Nigerians, with many questioning how such conditions could occur despite the huge amount paid for the spiritual journey.

The development has raised fresh concerns about the welfare and coordination of Nigerian pilgrims during Hajj operations, especially regarding accommodation, logistics, and accountability by officials responsible for managing the pilgrimage.

As reactions continue to pour in, many Nigerians are calling for an immediate investigation and urgent intervention to ensure the safety and dignity of the affected pilgrims.
