Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a political group in Oyo State has thrown its weight behind Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli for the governorship race and Hon. Tajudeen Adetunji Alliu for the Saki East and ATISBO State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The group, in a statement. made available to newsmen, said the state required leadership capable of driving inclusive development, strengthening accountability and addressing the needs of residents across communities.
It described Alli as an experienced politician with the capacity to provide purposeful leadership at the state level, particularly in areas including security, education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, youth development and economic empowerment.
The group also endorsed Alliu, describing him as a dependable choice for effective representation of Saki East and Atisbo constituencies.
According to the group, Alliu’s commitment to grassroots development and the welfare of his constituents would enable him to effectively articulate the interests of the people at the state legislature.
It said the 2027 election presented an opportunity for voters to elect leaders committed to placing public interest above personal considerations.
The group therefore urged residents of Oyo State, particularly voters in Saki East and Atisbo, to support Alli for governor and Alliu for the House of Assembly.
It expressed optimism that the emergence of the two candidates would contribute to an administration and legislature focused on extending development opportunities to communities across the state.
