Barr. Akeem Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has joined family members, friends, and admirers to commemorate the 75th posthumous birthday of Senator Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi, the former governor of Oyo State.
In a statement issued by his media office on Sunday, Barr. Agbaje described the late Ajimobi as a father figure, a quintessential leader, and a mentor whose legacy of service and leadership continues to inspire generations.

“Today, we celebrate the life and times of an extraordinary leader, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who would have been 75. He was more than a governor; he was a mentor, a father, and a statesman whose vision and commitment to excellence redefined governance in Oyo State.”
“Senator Ajimobi’s legacy of service, discipline, and leadership remains a guiding light for all of us in Oyo State and beyond. His strides in governance, particularly in urban renewal, infrastructure, and security, have set benchmarks that continue to guide us today,” Agbaje added.
“Senator Ajimobi was a man who believed in building people. His leadership style and teachings have left a profound impact on me and many others who had the privilege of learning under him. His memories and lessons will remain evergreen.”
“As we honour his memory on this special day, I pray for continued grace for his family and for Oyo State to keep benefiting from the seeds of progress he sowed during his lifetime. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.”
