Oyo State: Islamic Enlightenment Foundation donates N8.2M to orphanages in Saki

In a bid to alleviate the suffering of orphans in Nigeria, the Islamic Enlightenment Foundation based in Kuwait has made a generous donation to orphanages in Saki and its environs. Our reporter brings you the details.

The Islamic Enlightenment Foundation, an organization based in Kuwait and dedicated to supporting the less privileged, presented cash sums of N102,600 to each of the 80 beneficiary orphanages at a ceremony held at Big Masjid along Army Barracks, Saki.

According to the Coordinator of the organisation, Alhaja Abdazeez Milliat, she said that as Muslims, they are obligated to care for the less privileged and provide for their needs. She also explained that the organisation has been working tirelessly to identify and support orphanages in dire need of assistance.

The beneficiaries, visibly overwhelmed with emotion, expressed their gratitude to the organisation for its kindness. Aishat Abdulrauf, one of the beneficiaries, said that they were grateful to the organisation for the donation, adding that it would go a long way in supporting their education and healthcare.

This donation, totaling N8,208,000, marks the 6th edition of the organisation’s charitable programme. The organisation has been providing assistance to the less privileged, including orphans, for many years.
