APC disqualifies Omisore, Repete, Clears Ogunesan, Adegbola, Adeolu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the outcome of its screening exercise ahead of the forthcoming party contest in Oyo State, with several prominent aspirants reportedly failing to scale through the process.

Among the notable figures not cleared by the party are former National Secretary of the APC, H.E. Iyiola Omisore, and former National Deputy Youth Leader of the party, Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete.

Others said to have been disqualified include Ademola Wasiu Alli, Ajimobi Wasiu, Kolapo Daisi, Faozey Oladotun, Ambassador Akinremi Alade, and Hussain Yusuff.

The development has generated reactions within party circles, especially considering the political influence and status of some of the affected aspirants.

Meanwhile, the screening committee cleared a number of aspirants to continue in the race. Those cleared include Hon. Remi Oseni for Oyo South, Senator Yunus Akintunde for Oyo Central, Prof. Adeolu Akande for Oyo North, Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan for Oyo North, and Col. Adegbola, also for Oyo North.

Party faithful and political observers are closely monitoring the situation as stakeholders await further clarification from the APC leadership regarding the reasons behind the disqualifications.
