The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared Hon. Hussaini Yusuf IJABAH to contest for the Oyo North Senatorial District seat ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries in Oyo State.
The development follows the release of the screening exercise results, where several prominent aspirants were reportedly unable to scale through the process.
Speaking with ITV Online, Hon. Hussaini Yusuf confirmed his clearance, describing it as the outcome of “intense discussions” with party stakeholders.
As of the time of filing this report, the APC leadership in Oyo State is yet to issue an official statement confirming the development.
With clearance announced on May 18, 2026, Hon. Hussaini Yusuf is now set to contest alongside other cleared aspirants for the APC ticket in Oyo North Senatorial District.
