Dignitaries grace Mafwas 30 years of Service and spiritual growth in Saki

The Mafwas Islamic Organization of Nigeria, has on Sunday celebrated its 30th anniversary in grand style, attracting thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims alike to its fold .

The ceremony, which took place on 2nd February, was a testament to the organisation’s enduring legacy of spiritual growth, community service, and interfaith dialogue.

The anniversary celebration was attended by a host of dignitaries, including political leaders, community leaders ,traditional leaders and other admirers.

In a profound observation, the guest speaker, Sheikh Abubakar Issa highlighted a common phenomenon where people often focus on the end result or the glory, without paying attention to the journey, the struggles, or the story behind it.

“We often celebrate the glory of success without acknowledging the struggles, the fears, and the uncertainties that come with it. We forget that every achievement has a story, a story of trials and triumphs, of failures and lessons learned.”, he said .

Speaking at the event, Hon. Niyi Adebisi praised the founder of the Islamic organisation, Sheikh Abdrofiu Oloko for his tireless efforts in promoting peace, understanding, and community cohesion.

He said 30 years anniversary is quite impressive, attributed it to his political career.

Speaking with newsmen, Sheikh Abdrofiu Oloko, reflected on the organization’s 30-year journey, highlighting its key milestones and achievements.

He expressed gratitude to leaders, and supporters,iterated without whom the organisation’s success would not have been possible.

The anniversary celebration featured a range of activities,including recitations of the Quran recitations, musical interlude and launching of the new central mosque.

The ceremony also included an award presentation, where several individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Islamic organisation and the community.

On his parts, Sen. Buhari Abdulfatai acknowledged the two prominent Islamic scholars in the community who have played a significant role in shaping Islamic thought and promoting peaceful coexistence.

He also urged political leaders to prioritize the needs of the people and work towards delivering meaningful results rather than personal ambition and infighting which often take precedence over serving the people.
