Eid-el-Kabir: Awodioke Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Faith, Patriotism

The founder of the Awodioke Foundation, Engr. Tosin Kolade Awodioke, has congratulated Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging Nigerians to uphold the virtues of faith, sacrifice and patriotism.

In a Sallah message released on Tuesday, Awodioke reminded Muslims of the spiritual significance of Eid-el-Kabir, noting that the celebration symbolises the trials, obedience and unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).

According to him, Prophet Ibrahim remains revered across generations and nations for passing a profound test of faith through total submission to the will of Allah.

“As we celebrate, I believe that Nigeria can make swift progression on all fronts if we uphold the impeccable virtue of abiding faith as typified by Prophet Ibrahim through his sacrifice, patience, generosity and obedience to Allah’s command and constituted authority,” he stated.

Awodioke also used the occasion to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for what he described as efforts toward restoring unity and peace within the ruling party and the country at large.

He urged Nigerians to remain committed to the ideals of national unity, patriotism and collective responsibility in overcoming the challenges confronting the nation.

The philanthropist stressed the need for citizens to remember their shared heritage and destiny, adding that national greatness could only be achieved through unity and confidence in the country’s future.

He, however, expressed concern over the increasing wave of insecurity, particularly attacks by bandits and armed groups, which he said had continued to make life difficult for many Nigerians.

Awodioke lamented that several citizens had lost loved ones, while others suffered injuries and displacement as a result of violent attacks, depriving them of their constitutional rights to freedom and security.

He called on Nigerians to continue praying for leaders at both the state and federal levels, while maintaining faith in government efforts to restore peace and stability.

“As we celebrate this Eid Kabir, I charge you to continue to have faith in the governments at state and federal levels and pray for continued peace and progress of our leaders, state and country. Barakah da Sallah,” he added.
