The Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Kehinde S. Daunci, has visited the Palace of the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Dr. Surv. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, in Saki.
Daunci, who led a delegation on the courtesy visit, was received by members of the Okere-in-Council led by the Aganmu of Saki, HC Abdrasheed Kolawole Jayeola.
The sector commander said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the FRSC and traditional institutions in promoting road safety and protecting the lives of residents and other road users.
He expressed appreciation to the traditional council for its support and cooperation, stressing the importance of community partnership in improving road safety.
Daunci also commended the council for its hospitality and commitment to issues concerning the safety and wellbeing of residents in Saki.
Responding on behalf of the Okere of Sakiland, the Aganmu of Saki commended FRSC personnel in Saki for their professionalism, integrity and dedication to duty.
He said the traditional council appreciated the agency’s efforts to promote discipline and safety among road users, urging the personnel to sustain the tempo.
He prayed for divine guidance, protection and success for the FRSC officials in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The visit was attended by members of the Okere-in-Council and other stakeholders.
