The Oyo North Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), HOO, Mrs. Olawumi Ogunesan, has received prayers, blessings and assurances of support from traditional rulers, religious leaders, party members and stakeholders during her thank you and consultation visit to Itesiwaju Local Government Area.
The visit began in Okaka, where HOO was welcomed by APC leaders and stakeholders, including former Chairmen of Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon. Ojo Akintola and Hon. Niyi Adeagbo.
She proceeded to the First Baptist Church, Okaka, where she met with CAN leaders and received prayers for wisdom, divine guidance and success. At the Otu Central Mosque, she also met with the Chief Imam, Imams and members of the League of Alfas, who offered prayers and expressed their goodwill.
At the palace of the Oniro of Otu, Oba Sunday Oyetunde Adepoju Ayilola III, Chairman of the Traditional Institutions in Itesiwaju, HOO met with other traditional rulers, including the Olugbo of Igbojaye, Eleyinpo of Ipapo, Onibise of Otu and Onisia of Otu.
The traditional rulers commended her commitment to the development of Oke-Ogun, particularly her support for the traditional institution, and prayed for God’s favour, protection and victory in the 2027 elections.
HOO also visited the Hausa/Fulani community in Otu and the Isese leadership, seeking their prayers and support while reaffirming her commitment to an inclusive political process that gives every community a voice.
At the Otu Town Hall, she thanked APC members and stakeholders for their loyalty, sacrifices and continued support. She pledged to remain accessible and committed to the interests of the people if elected to represent Oyo North.
HOO called for continued support for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC governorship candidate, Hon. Saheed Alaran, Senator Sarafadeen Alli and his deputy, as well as all other APC candidates.
She expressed confidence that, with the prayers, support and votes of the people, the APC would emerge victorious and deliver stronger representation, greater development and improved dividends of democracy to the people of Itesiwaju, Oyo North and Oyo State.
