The Accord governorship candidate in Oyo State, Alh. Oriyomi Hamzat, has donated ₦5 million to support the proposed endowment project of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) in Saki West LGA of the state.
Hamzat made the donation on Saturday at the official launch of a ₦100 million fundraising campaign organised to support the proposed OAIC endowment project in Saki.
The event, held in Saki, attracted church leaders, members of the organisation, community stakeholders and other guests who gathered to support the educational initiative.
Oriyomi was accompanied to the event by the Accord House of Assembly candidate for Saki West Constituency, Hajj. Sanusi Wasiu Adeshina; Sulaiman Larubawa, among other party members and supporters.
The fundraising programme was organised by the OAIC Building Committee, chaired by Most Superior Evangelist Prophet (Dr.) Alarape Ademola Olusegun.
Speaking at the event, Hamzat commended the church leadership and members of the OAIC for embarking on the project, describing project as an important instrument for community development and human capital advancement.
He urged individuals, organisations and other well-meaning members of the society to support the initiative to enable the organisation achieve its target.
