The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in ATISBO LGA of Oyo State, Hon. Iliasu Yunusa, has declared that the APC remains the only credible political platform capable of sustaining good governance in Nigeria, insisting that there is no viable alternative to the ruling party at both the national and state levels.
Addressing party members at the APC General gathering,held on Wednesday at the Tede City Hall,Yunusa called for unwavering loyalty and collective commitment from members, urging them to rally behind the party’s leadership and executive members to ensure electoral success in the forthcoming elections.
He maintained that dedication, sacrifice and steadfast commitment to the party’s ideals would not go unrewarded, stressing that every member who works tirelessly for the growth and victory of the APC would, in due course, reap the benefits of such service.
The APC chairman expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for preserving the party and granting its members the privilege to continue serving despite what he described as the evil intentions of political detractors.
According to him, divine providence frustrated the plans of those who wished him ill, enabling him to remain steadfast in the discharge of his responsibilities.
Yunusa also extended appreciation to the national leadership of the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Oyo State APC Executive led by Chairman Otunba Alake Adeyemo, as well as party stakeholders in Atisbo Local Government under the leadership of Pa Samuel Adekola. He equally commended ward executives across Wards One to Ten for their loyalty and unwavering commitment to the party.
Speaking on party discipline, Yunusa asserted that only individuals who had abandoned loyalty to the APC would refuse to abide by the party’s constitution, resolutions and established guidelines.
He explained that the party collectively adopted transparent principles for the emergence of its candidates, from the presidential election down to the State House of Assembly contests, emphasizing that adherence to those decisions remains a fundamental obligation of every faithful member.
The ATISBO APC chairman therefore appealed to members to close ranks and work assiduously for the success of all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
He specifically urged support for Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli as the party’s governorship candidate in Oyo State, Mrs. Hannah Olawunmi Ogunesan for Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon. Kareem Tajudeen Abiodun for the House of Representatives, and Alhaji Tajudeen Adetunji Alliu for the State House of Assembly.
Yunusa concluded that unity, discipline and unwavering support for the party’s candidates remain indispensable to consolidating the APC’s electoral fortunes and advancing its vision for sustainable development across Oyo State and Nigeria.
