The Onigbope of Igbope Land, Oba Dr Moses Olawale Oyetola, has installed Imam Kareem Abdulaziz Ejalonibu as the new Chief Imam of Igbope Land in Orelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The monarch also appointed Yunus Abdul Jelli Abdul Salam as the new Mufti of Igbope Land at a ceremony attended by Muslim clerics, traditional rulers, community leaders and other dignitaries.
Oba Oyetola said the appointments were aimed at strengthening Islamic leadership in the community while promoting peace, unity and peaceful coexistence among residents of Igbope and neighbouring communities.
The monarch urged the new Islamic leaders to discharge their responsibilities with wisdom, fairness and commitment to the spiritual and social development of the community.
