Barr. Akeem Adedeji Agbaje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a leading aspirant for the 2027 gubernatorial election in Oyo State, has officially picked up the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms, signaling a formal step in his bid to contest the governorship race.
The forms were obtained on his behalf at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by his political associate, Hon. James Adeleke, former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government.
The development reflects Agbaje’s readiness to once again present himself for service, building on his previous engagements as a two-time gubernatorial aspirant under the party in Oyo State.
He is a consistent figure within the APC, whose approach to leadership remains people-centered, with a focus on inclusiveness and engagement across different segments of the state.
Barr. Akeem Agbaje, who has maintained a visible presence within the party over the years, is regarded by many stakeholders as a unifying figure, with relationships that cut across various tendencies within the APC in Oyo State.
The move to pick up the nomination forms is seen as part of the early preparations ahead of the party’s primary process, as aspirants begin to formalize their intentions in line with the party’s guidelines.
