In a move aimed at cushioning the effects of economic hardship on vulnerable residents, the Chairperson of Saki East LG,Hon. (Mrs) Adedokun Hellen, yesterday distributed food items and clothing palliatives to needy individuals in the council area.
The food distribution exercise, which was held at the LG Secretariat, saw the Chairperson and other council officials handing over essential food items to beneficiaries.
In an address during the event,Adedokun Hellen explained that the food distribution exercise was part of the council’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable residents, owed a gratification to Gov. Seyi Makinde and the council’s boss , Hon. Adedokun Olalekan Emmanuel over the loftly initiative .
She said the present administration was committed to supporting the residents of this area , particularly the reserving people.
“We are committed to supporting our residents, especially those who are most in need,” the Chairperson said.
