Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has urged President Bola Tinubu to stop governing Nigeria through “PowerPoint Economics” and focus on real policies that address hardship.
In a statement on Tuesday, Atiku accused the Tinubu administration of relying on projections, slides, and forecasts instead of concrete actions to tackle inflation, unemployment, and poverty.
“Nigerians are not living in a PowerPoint presentation. They are living in markets, in buses, in hospitals. Stop governing Nigeria through PowerPoint Economics,” he said.
The PDP chieftain argued that economic policies must translate to food on tables, jobs for youths, and affordable fuel and electricity for families.
Atiku added that the government should engage experts, listen to citizens, and implement practical solutions instead of “beautiful graphics and empty promises.”
The Presidency is yet to respond to Atiku’s comments.
