The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly flag bearer for Saki East/Atisbo State Constituency, Hon. Alhaji Alliu Tajudeen Adetunji, has welcomed the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to Oyo State.
Alliu, in a statement on Monday, described the First Lady’s visit to the state as a significant moment for the APC and its members at the grassroots.
The APC candidate said the visit coincided with the official inauguration of the Tinubu Torch Bearers in Oyo State, describing the platform as a strategic initiative aimed at mobilising Nigerians who believe in President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He said the group was committed to taking the message of progressive governance to wards, communities and local government areas across the state.
“Your presence in Oyo State is a tremendous honour and a powerful source of encouragement to our party faithful at the grassroots,” Adetunji said.
He added that the First Lady’s presence demonstrated the importance attached to the dedication and sacrifices of APC members working to strengthen the party.
He commended Oluremi Tinubu for what he described as her exemplary leadership and commitment to nation-building, particularly her efforts towards the empowerment of women, youths and vulnerable Nigerians.
He expressed optimism that her visit would further inspire party members and supporters committed to service, development, unity and good governance.
The lawmaker hopeful prayed for the First Lady’s safe and successful visit, as well as continued guidance, wisdom, strength and protection for her and members of her delegation.
