Hajiya Asia El-Rufai, the second spouse of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed concern that she and her co-wife, Aishatou El-Rufai, are being surveilled and monitored.
Asia El-Rufai made this public announcement through a post on her Facebook page. She stated that their personal communication channels have been compromised, raising alarms about their safety.
She emphasized that the authorities should be responsible if any harm befalls them.
“They are tracking me and Aishatou; let it be known that if anything happens to us, the Government must provide an explanation.
Our phones are tapped… our lives are at risk,” she posted on Facebook.
This revelation comes amid increasing worries regarding El-Rufai’s ongoing detention.
