The Fulani community has been warned by Igboho not to partake in kidnapping activities in his hometown.

Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, a prominent activist for the Yoruba nation, has issued a serious warning to the Fulani community in Igboho, Oyo State, threatening to take action due to alleged kidnappings and insecurity in the region.

In a video that has been shared widely on social media, Igboho was seen speaking to Fulani leaders and community members during what seemed to be a meeting with local traditional leaders and elders.

He expressed his frustration over recent kidnapping incidents, including the reported murder of a pregnant woman and a ransom deliverer, accusing certain Fulanis of instilling fear in the residents of his hometown.

“You cannot continue to kidnap people in our hometown. You took a pregnant woman from my community and killed her. The person who brought the ransom was also killed, leaving only one survivor,” he stated.

Igboho cautioned that he had only held back due to pleas from traditional leaders.

“I am Sunday Igboho. I am being patient because my elders have asked me to be. Let this be the final occurrence of such acts. Has any Fulani individual been kidnapped in this town? Please communicate with your people,” he urged.

He further threatened, “I will come into your homes and eliminate everyone. You cannot kidnap people in my hometown. I am Sunday Igboho, and I belong to this community.”

During the same address, Igboho issued what he called a two-hour ultimatum for the release of those who had been abducted.

“I am giving you two hours to free the woman and the children you kidnapped from their home overnight,” he proclaimed.

In another video, Igboho was seen leading his supporters into what he referred to as the Oyo National Reserve Park, claiming that armed herders had taken control of the area.

“This reserve area was once farmed by our ancestors until these Fulani people converted it into their settlement and began raising cattle in this bush. Once we rescue those children, we must ensure none of them remain in this bush,” he asserted.
