Hon. Olajide Olatunbosun, younger brother of former Oyo State Head of Service and All Progressives Congress senatorial candidate for Oyo North, Mrs Olawunmi Ogunesan, has secured the Accord Party’s ticket to contest the Saki East, Saki West and ATISBO Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Olatunbosun, a former member of the House of Representatives, represented the constituency under the All Progressives Congress between 2015 and 2019. He also contested the seat on the platform of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections.
His emergence followed the decision of Sulaiman Ojo Olaitan, popularly known as LARUBAWA, to step aside from the race and endorse him in the interest of party unity.
Olaitan said the decision was voluntary and driven by the need to place the collective interest of the constituency above personal ambition.
He urged his supporters across Saki East, Saki West and ATISBO to support Olatunbosun and work towards the success of the Accord Party.
Olatunbosun’s political history, coupled with his previous representation of the constituency, is expected to make his emergence a significant development in the race ahead of the 2027 elections.
