Oyo North PDP reconciliation moves : stakeholders donate handsomely

With a view to reconciling all internal wranglings and warring members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Oyo North Senatorial District , the critical stakeholders within the rank and file of the party, converged in a bid to dwelling into the growing discontent among stakeholders in the party.

The meeting, which was held on Wednesday, took place at the Saki City Hall, had the impressive turnout of the party faithfuls with resounding testament to the shared commitment to advancing the Senatorial District and Oyo State at large.

Speaking on the development, the Deputy governor of the state, Bayo Lawal, Esq. stressed the need for forgiveness and unity within the party towards the stability of the party and its members welfare,affirming that, efforts at repositioning the party ahead of the next elections should be put in top gear .

He charged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the party to remain optimistic and committed to amplify the PDP vision in the overall interests of all .

He expressed hope that, the party would remain unbeatable if the members came together , acknowledged lingering discontent among some members stemming from internal conflicts of interest in the appointments of political office holders in the council areas .

On his part,a chieftain of the party, Saka Balogun, urged PDP faithful to set aside their grievances and unite to benefit from the dividends of democracy, saying there is brighter future for all members of the party.

Speaking at the event, a former Deputy governor, Engr. Hamid Gbadamosi, praised the attendance of the party, noting that their participation reflected confidence and faith in the party despite individuals and group interests , emphasized the importance of unity and focus in ensuring victory in future elections.

In a related development, a sum of two million naira was announced as contributions of the Commissioner for Trade and investment in Oyo State, Niyi Adebisi and the Managing Director of Tinath Realities , Decean Kola Abimbola as parts of their contributions to reposition the party.

In attendance are Alh. Kunmi Mustapha, Senator Gbenga Babalola , Waheed Oluwakemi , Dele Adeola, Sarafadeen Alani , Femi Julius , Hassan Ajibade (Esq.) , Siju Lawal ( Esq.) .

Others are the Local government chairmen and other political appointees in the Senatorial District.
