2027: BSA’s Media Coordinator Lists Achievements, Urges Oyo Voters to Back Alli for Governor

The Media Coordinator of the BSA Voice of Reason, Elder David Oluokun, has urged residents of Oyo State to support the governorship ambition of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli in the 2027 election, citing the lawmaker’s performance in Oyo South Senatorial District as evidence of his leadership capacity.

In a statement, Oluokun argued that Alli’s record in grassroots engagement, constituency development and empowerment programmes demonstrates his readiness to govern the state.

According to him, the senator has maintained regular ward-to-ward visits across the nine local government areas in Oyo South, held constituency town hall meetings and operated accessible constituency offices to ensure direct interaction with residents.

He also highlighted projects facilitated by the senator in the areas of education, healthcare, water supply, infrastructure and ICT development, including the renovation of classrooms, provision of learning materials, installation of solar-powered boreholes, support for primary healthcare centres, solar streetlights, road grading and ICT facilities for youths.

Oluokun further stated that thousands of traders, artisans, farmers, youths, women and widows had benefited from various empowerment programmes, including business grants, vocational training, starter packs, agricultural inputs and financial support.

Beyond constituency projects, he described Alli as a compassionate leader who has supported indigent students with examination fees, assisted vulnerable families and provided humanitarian interventions for constituents in need.

The media coordinator maintained that if elected governor, Alli would replicate such initiatives across Oyo State’s 33 local government areas, expand economic opportunities and leverage alignment with the Federal Government to attract more developmental projects to the state.

He called on voters to consider what he described as the senator’s “evidence of performance, experience and grassroots connection” when making their choice in the 2027 governorship election.
