In a heartwarming display of philanthropy, the Adeleke family in Saki ,Oyo State has made a remarkable contribution to the University of Ibadan, donating a state-of-the-art conference hall to the Department of Crop and Horticultural Sciences.
The modern conference hall, which was formerly a dilapidated crop processing room, was rehabilitated and converted by the Adeleke family in honor of their patriarch, Alhaji Moshood Esuola Adeleke.

The project was funded and executed by the Adeleke children and family, demonstrating their appreciation for their father’s impact on their lives.
The conference hall was officially handed over to the university on Friday, March 7, 2025, at a ceremony attended by university officials and members of the Adeleke family.
Speaking on the development, Bayo Adeleke on behalf of the Adeleke family, expressed a profound debt of gratitude to God for the opportunities and blessings they have received.According to him, “the family is deeply thankful for God’s goodness and provision in their lives”.
He stated that ,Alh. Moshood Esuola Adeleke is a champion of education, attributing his continued commitment to supporting educational pursuits is truly admirable.
He noted that,he has consistently demonstrated a passion for education, going beyond just supporting his family members to making a positive impact on his community.
This donation is also expected to significantly enhance the university’s infrastructure, providing a cutting-edge space for academic and research activities.
The Adeleke family’s commitment to philanthropy is well-known in Saki and surrounding areas, particularly through their association with the Ayisat Aliu Adeleke foundation, renowned for its humanitarian efforts.
