Residents of Imua Village in the Saki area of Oyo State witnessed a three-day gospel outreach programme organised by a Christian fellowship body from May 22 to May 24, 2026.
The outreach, themed “At the Mention of His Name,” and anchored on Philippians 2:9–11, focused on evangelism, spiritual revival, and community support. Organisers said the programme was designed to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ while positively impacting the lives of villagers through prayers, Bible teaching, and humanitarian activities.
The outreach team departed Saki on Friday afternoon and arrived at Imua Village at about 3:31 p.m., where members were accommodated at Living Faith Winners Chapel, Imua.
Upon arrival, the fellowship members immediately commenced village awareness campaigns to mobilise residents for the evening programme held at the field of African Baptist Primary School. Activities on the first day included prayers, worship songs, and a gospel film show attended by several villagers.
The second day of the outreach began with a general devotion at 5:35 a.m., followed by house-to-house evangelism across the community. During the exercise, members distributed gifts to residents as part of efforts to support families within the village.
Later in the afternoon, the fellowship held a Bible study session attended by both members and villagers. The evening revival programme featured prayers, worship sessions, gospel film presentations, and revival ministrations.
Practical items including matches, detergent, biscuits, and clothes were also distributed to members of the community.
According to the organisers, many villagers responded during the altar call and surrendered their lives to Christ. Their names were documented for follow-up, while they were invited to continue attending worship services at the outreach base.
On the final day of the programme, the outreach team held a morning devotion before engaging in a sanitation exercise within the community beginning at about 6:30 a.m.
This was followed by a Sunday worship service which featured opening prayers, praise and worship, and the preaching of the Word of God. During the service, organisers announced plans to continue holding worship services at the outreach base every Sunday by 8:00 a.m., a development warmly welcomed by residents.
Before departing the village at about 9:42 a.m., the team distributed additional gifts and food items to the villagers.
The fellowship body expressed gratitude to God for what it described as a successful outreach and also appreciated church members and supporters who contributed financially, morally, and materially toward the programme.
Statistics released by the organisers indicated that 33 students participated in the outreach, while a total of 71 villagers attended the various activities held during the three-day programme.
